About Alissa
I am a mother who has experienced home, birth center and hospital births ranging from perfect to devastating.
I have always had an interest in birth, motherhood and the power of personal story. My own journey with Listening has completely touched my heart, changed my life and ignited my passion to use birth as the transformative tool it was meant to be.

Your painful story can hold you back, or it can be the pathway to finding your power.
During a Birth Story Integration session, I'll help you navigate your path to find the medicine inside your story.
You'll tell your birth story in a way you haven't experienced before, while receiving trauma-informed Somatic guidance.
I follow the structure I learned from Birthing From Within, with the added benefits of Somatic Experiencing. It is generally completed in a single appointment, with the option to book additional meetings if necessary.
A Birth Story Listening session lasts 60-90 minutes and is open to any mother, father, doula, birth attendant, grandparent, nurse, or anyone who has witnessed a birth which they still feel troubled by.

Details
A session usually lasts 90-120 minutes. My listed rate of $77 is for the full session, however long it takes.
I do not offer a free first lesson, only because we usually start and end with the first meeting. If there are multiple birth stories to process, or in cases of extreme trauma, I will offer a second Listening session. In that case, the second session will be at a discounted rate.
