About Kaia
My name is Kai, I am an undergraduate musician and songwriter/producer. I began playing music (French horn) at the age of 8, and by the age of 10 picked up singing and guitar as a personal interest, and then took off from there. Since then I have learnt, piano/keys, bass guitar, drums, trumpet, and music production. I am deeply passionate about music of all forms, it's raw, creative, fun, and expressive. I believe everyone should try it once in their life.

If you're interested in songwriting you have found the right person. By doing lessons with me you will learn the fundamentals of music composition, songwriting, and theory. We will break down musical concepts and dive deep into key elements of music genres and styles. If you're more advanced and have the fundamentals down and more technical skills such as writing music for an ensemble, compositions in unconventional modes, and/or even exploring styles of work music. My lessons run for 60 minutes and are open to all ages, and skill levels of beginner, intermediate, and adept songwriters.

I am a singer and have always wanted to write my own music. Kai has been accommodating in teaching the fundamentals and has given me plenty of exercises to improve.
Kai is a very welcoming, kind and knowledgable tutor with a passion for all things music. He tutored me in vocals and gave me some lessons on guitar when I requested that as well, so he is very flexible in customising lessons to each person's needs/ interests. You can tell he genuinely wants you to improve and enjoy what you're doing. He is also very reliable and professional with scheduling lessons etc. I would definitely recommend Kai to anyone!
Kai is a passionate teacher. He always makes sure I enjoy what I am learning, and moving towards my goals as a student. One of my older guitar tutors used to push me into being a classically trained guitarist whereas Kai brings the fun into playing and learning. It feels like he actually cares about what I want to learn but still sprinkles in the important theory
