About Maria
I learned English at a language school, and Portuguese and French by living abroad. If you want to learn quickly and in a structured way, I’m here to help; if you prefer to have fun and chat while progressing, I can guide you that way too. I have experience teaching students of all levels and ages. In addition to mastering the necessary teaching tools, I am patient and creative: if one method doesn’t work for you, I find another. Teaching a language is closely connected to the places and the people who speak it. Teaching Spanish also involves sharing a rich and diverse culture — and that is something I truly love.

I am a native Spanish speaker and a Philosophy teacher. I hold a master’s degree in Education and another in Library Science and Information Studies. I have taught Spanish as a foreign language in person in Brazil and Canada. I have worked with students of all levels and ages. I adapt my lessons to each student, always using a textbook as a basis and taking into account their learning style, interests, and abilities.
