About Maria
I have worked with all types of students and families for many years. I am currently teaching as a special educator in a school in NYC during the day, so my practices are relevant and current. I can also help parents with IEPs and discuss plans for their kids in school.

In our first session I would assess the student to see what they needed and what they already know. Then I would tailor a plan for them that is individualized to their needs. Then I would teach decoding and high frequency words with a multi sensory approach designed to get kids reading.
