About Ansh
EXCLUSIVELY TEACHING ONLINE via
HIGH-DEFINITION STUDIO
I am a professional violinist, scholar, and educator with a rare blend of Western technical mastery and deep-rooted Indian Classical heritage. My expertise is validated by the highest academic and traditional honours:
M.P.A. (Master of Music & Performing Arts) &
Sangeet Praveen: The Sangeet Praveen is the highest traditional title in Indian music, recognised as equivalent to a Doctorate (PhD).
ABRSM (Higher Distinction): I hold a Higher Distinction from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, proving my mastery of Western curriculum standards.
Generational Artist of the Maihar Senia Gharana: I represent the prestigious lineage of Mian Tansen, bringing centuries of musical wisdom to every lesson.
Bridging East and West
I specialise in helping the Indian diaspora and Western students connect with their cultural heritage through professional technique.
As a YouTube Educator (1,400+ subscribers), I am an expert in "Musical Translation," providing custom Western notations for Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi film songs.
Professional Online Studio
I provide a lag-free, high-definition learning experience that rivals in-person instruction
Technology: MacBook Pro M1 Pro & High-speed 200 Mbps Airtel Fibre for crystal-clear, zero-latency lessons.
Instruments: I teach using a high-quality 125-year-old antique German Western violin for classical purity and a premium 5-string Handmade European violin for contemporary and Raga styles.
Comprehensive Mentorship (Grades 1-8)
While I personally hold a Grade 5 Higher Distinction, my Master’s degree and Doctorate-level Sangeet Praveen qualify me to mentor students from Initial through to Grade 8 (ABRSM/Trinity).
I integrate the Schradieck method for finger dexterity with the Suzuki method and the soulful nuances of Indian Raga. My goal is to ensure every student develops the technical brilliance and emotional depth of a world-class musician.
Introductory Rate: As I transition my international studio to Superprof, I am offering a limited-time introductory rate of £30/hr. This allows new students to access Master-level mentorship (MA, Sangeet Praveen) and custom film song notations at a special foundational price.
"Note: As I teach students across multiple time zones (UK, Australia, and India), I typically respond to all inquiries within a few hours. If you message during late UK hours, I will get back to you first thing in the morning!"

My Curriculum:
Three Specialised Paths
I provide structured, high-quality violin mentorship across three distinct areas. Students can choose to focus on one path or create a "Hybrid" plan.
1. Western Classical Mastery (Suzuki, Schradieck & ABRSM)
I combine the world-renowned Suzuki Method (Books 1-4) with the rigorous Schradieck Method to build a professional foundation from the very first lesson.
Technical Rigour: Using Schradieck’s finger dexterity exercises to build strength, speed, and precision in the left hand.
Exam Success: Full preparation for ABRSM (initial up to grade 8) and Trinity College London grades (Initial up to Grade 5).
Academic Excellence: Training backed by my M.A. in Music and ABRSM Higher Distinction background.
2. Indian Classical Tradition (Maihar Senia Gharana)
Learn the soulful art of Indian Classical violin from a generational artist of the Maihar Senia Gharana.
Authentic Pedagogy: Study the raga system, gamaks (ornamentation), and tala with the authority of a Sangeet Praveen (PhD-equivalent) master.
Traditional Lineage: Training that respects the purity of the Guru-Shishya tradition, adapted for modern learners.
3. Multi-Lingual Film & Contemporary Music
I am a specialist in "Musical Translation," bridging the gap between Western technique and Eastern melody.
Languages: I provide custom Western and Indian notations for Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi film songs.
Custom Arrangements: I modify every piece to fit your current skill level—making the songs you love accessible and fun to play.
YouTube Educator: As a teacher with 1,100+ subscribers in 9 months, I have refined the art of teaching these songs through clear, step-by-step digital tutorials.
In-class Experience and Technical Quality:
To ensure a world-class learning experience from my studio in India to anywhere in the world, I utilise a professional-grade technical and musical setup:
High-Definition Online Studio: I use a MacBook Pro M1 paired with an ultra-high-speed 200 Mbps Airtel Fibre connection. This ensures crystal-clear video and zero-latency audio, making it feel as though we are in the same room.
The Instruments of a Master: My teaching is supported by the superior tonal quality of world-class instruments:
Heritage Sound: A high-quality, antique 125-year-old Made in Germany Western violin that provides the rich, authentic resonance required for classical mastery.
Modern Versatility: A 5-string premium European handcrafted violin, perfect for exploring the extra & deep range required for both Indian Classical ragas and contemporary performances.
Digital Authority: As a YouTube Educator with 1,100+ subscribers, I have mastered the art of digital pedagogy. Every student receives a Personalised Musical Roadmap and access to my library of custom-written sheet music.

The best part about my teacher is he’s always learning. As a result, he’s so versatile that he can teach Indian classical with 4 strings in 10 different violin tunings and 5-string Indian classical alongside 4-string Western classical. He is also trying out various bhajans in other languages, and I find his greatest strength and inspiration in this never-stop-learning attitude, no matter how slow or fast the learning pace may be.
I started learning violin from Ansh sir about 4 years back. He helped me navigate the first 6 months of tough time which anyone had to pass through before one takes it seriously. After that there was no stopping. His unique way of making the practice more interesting while taking care of my interests had really helped me come a long way. We started playing Ilayaraja compositions, short ones to start with and moving on to longer performances. We learn through mesmerising songs that makes it even more interesting to practice. I had learned about 70+ songs till date. I had done performances for my colleagues, friends and family. He used to help me practice songs scheduling more sessions that work with my timings that really helped perfect some of the tough notes. I am glad to have started with him, without which i might not have continued my passion. Really thank Ansh sir for all the patience teaching me and customising the course to keep it really interesting.
I highly recommend Ansh as a violin teacher. He has been teaching my son, and the progress we have seen has been remarkable. Ansh is patient, encouraging, and highly skilled at explaining techniques in a way that keeps students motivated and engaged.Since learning with Ansh, my son’s confidence, musical ability, and enthusiasm for the violin have improved significantly. He creates a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves to grow. What stands out most is Ansh’s dedication to each student’s development. He genuinely cares about their progress and tailors his teaching to help them achieve their potential. Any parent looking for a violin teacher who inspires trust, confidence, and a love of music would be fortunate to have Ansh as their instructor.
I was completely new to learning the violin and had no idea whether I would be able to play it or not. Then I came across Ansh Sir, and that changed my perspective completely.
The way he guided me and gave me a clear direction on how to begin and progress in my violin journey was truly pragmatic and personalised. I believe only someone with good experience can understand a student’s abilities and guide them in the right direction based on their individual skills and potential.
Today, when I look back at where I started, I can genuinely say that I can play the violin. The progress I have made from Day 1 is something I am really happy about and a big credit goes to Ansh Sir for his guidance, patience and structured approach.
Highly grateful to Ansh Sir for helping me discover that I could actually learn and play the violin.I’ve really enjoyed learning violin with Ansh Sir. He is very patient and encouraging, which has made a big difference for me as a complete beginner who had never learned music or played an instrument before.
What I especially appreciate is that he adapts his teaching style to the student’s aptitude and learning pace rather than following a rigid approach. He explains things clearly, gives me time to understand and practice them, and shares his own experiences and insights.
I’ve learned a lot from him so far, and the classes have made learning violin feel approachable and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend him, especially beginners who may feel intimidated about starting an instrument from scratch. He is absolutely wonderful! He is patient, encouraging, and genuinely passionate about teaching. Every lesson is well-structured, and he explains techniques clearly while making learning enjoyable. I’ve gained so much confidence and improved my playing significantly. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dedicated and supportive violin teacher!
I’m very happy to recommend Ansh Sharma as an exceptional violin teacher and musician. As a Carnatic classical singer, I had tried learning violin from a few teachers before, but was never fully satisfied with their approach. With Ansh, I found something very different—he has a remarkable ability to simplify even the most complex techniques and customise his teaching to each student’s learning curve. His deep knowledge of Indian Classical, Sitar and Western music allows him to adapt his methods beautifully to the student, instrument and style of music.
What I particularly value is his balance of patience and high standards. He is an incredibly supportive guide, yet constantly challenges his students to improve. I feel fortunate to have found such a knowledgeable, dedicated and versatile musician as my teacher, and would wholeheartedly recommend Ansh to anyone looking to learn violin seriously and with the right foundation.I have been learning from Ansh since 3 4 years. It was a journey from knowing nothing about music to now able to understand it. Learning has been great with him. He allows you to be challenged and be more creative. My daughter also learns from him. He is a great find for me as a Guru.
Ansh is a brilliant teacher, I found him online and my daughter is learning violin for over 2 years. Ansh is so good and teaches with lot of patience, my daughter started loving violin because of Ansh, she waits for her class every week now, thanks Ansh for your ongoing lessons and supporting my daughter
My daughter is taking violin lessons with Ansh ji. It's one of the best decisions we made in her music journey. He is a brilliant teacher, very dedicated, started with fundamentals & patient. We saw a remarkable improvement in our kid’s abilities in a very short span. It’s been nearly 2 years and our kid loves these classes.
Would recommend Ansh any day.My wife and I have been taking violin lessons under Mr. Ansh Sharma for the past six months, and the experience has been nothing short of transformative.
Mr. Ansh possesses a rare talent for diagnosing a student’s specific hurdles and distilling complex techniques into accessible, intuitive lessons. The violin is notoriously challenging, and when the learning curve feels steep, Mr. Ansh’s ability to motivate and reignite our passion is remarkable.
Beyond the classroom, he acts as a true advocate for his students—assisting with instrument procurement, overseeing maintenance, and even negotiating with vendors to ensure we get the best value. If you are looking for a coach who is as invested in your progress as you are, I cannot recommend Mr. Ansh highly enough.I highly recommend Ansh sir to anyone serious about building a strong musical foundation. His teaching approach is structured, clear, and extremely practical. He has a unique ability to break down complex techniques into simple, understandable steps, making it easier to learn and apply them while playing any song
My daughter has been learning violin with Ansh since she was 7 years old . It’s now been over 4 years, and we are truly grateful for his guidance.
Ansh is not just a skilled teacher, but someone who builds a wonderful connection with his students. My daughter genuinely looks forward to every lesson, mostly because she gets to meet Ansh! That comfort and enthusiasm has helped her stay consistent and motivated.
Because of his coaching and encouragement, she progressed from the basic ensemble to the advanced ensemble at school, which was a very proud moment for us.
He is patient, supportive, and knows exactly how to make children enjoy learning while steadily improving their skills and confidence.
We feel lucky to have him as part of her musical journey and highly recommend him to any parent looking for a teacher who truly inspires kids.View more recommendations
