About Martin
With over 20 years of experience as a Primary/Elementary Classroom Teacher in Australia, specializing in Years 4-6, I am thrilled to share my passion for teaching and my dedication to helping students succeed. I have had the privilege of witnessing countless "Aha!" moments and guiding students towards their academic success.
Mathematics holds a special place in my heart. It is my favourite subject to teach by far! I find great joy in unraveling the reasoning behind mathematical concepts and presenting them in an engaging and creative manner. I believe that mathematics is not just about numbers and equations but also about critical thinking, problem-solving, and building a solid foundation for essential skills in life.
In my tutoring sessions, I strive to create a personalised learning experience for each student. I understand that every child has a unique learning style, pace, and set of strengths. I incorporate real-life examples and hands-on activities to make mathematics come alive and ignite a sense of curiosity and exploration.

As an experienced teacher, my lesson approach is about engagement and finding success through understanding 'why' we use certain methodologies, how things work, and exercising our creativity. Teaching is all about building positive relationships, and this will be a critical part of my tutoring. Lessons will be individually differentiated, tuned to the length that works best for each student. With 20+ years of experience in teaching, I possess specialist skills in educating Year 4-6 students (mostly 9 to 12 year olds or even up to 14yrs) and have a particular interest and reputation as a high-quality Mathematics teacher.
