About Ali
I am a current student at Laurentian University, I have completed my BA in Sport Psychology and am working on a second degree in Social Work. Most Social Workers' shy away from mathematics, but I happen to be quite good with numbers. Received A's in my statistics classes, enjoyed algebra (math with letters, NICE) and am passionate with problem solving. I like math because I get to get to the bottom of a solution which can take time and be complex, but it is not nearly as messy as working with people and helping to get to the problem with life circumstances. I enjoy both, but I am always looking to improve my math skills.

My teaching methods usually one on one deter towards the needs of my student. What are their interests and how can I simplify math in a way that can be more easily understood. I love problem solving, and teaching subjects is also problem solving. I have been told I am quite effective in my teaching methods, and I try to keep it fun as well. It's not all about being serious and good grades, having fun and learning is the best way to be taught anything (in my opinion) and is the most effective way to be educated.
