About Ellis
Hi, I’m currently studying a Master’s in Strategic Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Cardiff University, having previously completed a degree in Sport Science and Football.
During my undergraduate degree, I studied areas such as human anatomy, physiology and exercise science, which helped develop my interest in Biology and how the human body works.
I’ve also spent over seven years coaching football, working with children and young people of different ages and abilities. I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn, particularly seeing people improve their understanding and grow in confidence.
Through my studies and coaching experience, I’ve learnt the importance of being patient, approachable and explaining things in a way that makes sense to each individual.
I know that Biology can sometimes seem complicated, but I enjoy breaking topics down and using practical examples to make them easier to understand.
Outside of university, I’m interested in football, music, languages and business. I’m friendly, easy to get along with and always happy to answer questions or go over something until it makes sense.

My lessons are designed to help students build their confidence in Biology, improve their understanding of difficult topics and prepare for their GCSE exams\.
Having completed a degree in Sport Science and Football, I’ve studied subjects such as human anatomy, physiology and the science behind how the body works\. I enjoy using real\-life examples to make Biology more interesting and easier to understand\.
Lessons are usually an hour long and can cover a range of topics, including cells, human biology, genetics, ecosystems and other areas of the GCSE or KS3 curriculum\. I’m also happy to focus on particular topics students are struggling with or work through past papers and exam questions together\.
I understand that everyone learns differently, so I try to adapt my approach to each student\. I aim to keep lessons relaxed and engaging, encouraging students to ask questions and work through problems without feeling under pressure\.
My goal is to help students genuinely understand what they’re learning, build their confidence and feel more prepared for their exams.
