About Sascha
A Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Physical Education graduate with a passion for pupil progress and giving each and every child a valuable learning experience.
I have an array of teaching experience; I have worked at three dance schools, one of which I was Assistant Manager for.
I have worked in three primary schools teaching whole classes, small groups and one to one interventions across the curriculum. I have also got experience in teaching and coaching sport at college level.
I have worked as a National Citizen Service team leader for three consecutive Summers now, a social development programme for young people aged 15-17. I also took part as a young person at the age of 17. This involved living independently away from home (learning life skills), coming up with a social action project, presenting ideas to entrepreneurs and learning about stepping up and becoming a leader. Becoming a leader for the programme has given me the opportunity to give back what was once taught to me. Although challenging at times, it is an extremely rewarding job.
I can also speak Spanish, Italian and German, and am learning BSL (close to finishing Level 2).
I am a qualified First Aider and am also DBS checked.
I have been training and competing in Martial Arts for 14 years and have been passionate about sports ever since.
My passion for sports and dance is being carried with me into my professional journey. I am passionate about the standing of dance in the curriculum and am looking forward to implementing it in my sports/ teaching career.
