My teaching style is based entirely on the individual. This means that I will base my lesson plans on whatever my peer/ pupil feels they need specific help with. I take a personable approach to tutoring and find a relaxed environment with little distraction can create a more productive and desired outcome, therefore I prefer to take individual sessions rather than groups.
Using high quality assessments, I design and deliver bespoke learning programmes.......with enjoyment and engagement at the heart! I teach a range of subjects; however, I specialise in and love teaching English and Maths. I am a highly organised and creative with an individualised approach to learning which has Assessment for Learning at the core. My lessons have been judged as outstanding.
My teaching method is utilising practice questions which are similar to questions that are likely to come up in the exam.
I work by focusing on the strengths of a student, and using these to help them grasp an understanding of more difficult topics! I finished secondary education in 2016, so my understanding of the topics is still fresh! I personally understand things better with visual help such as drawings, but if you learn differently then that’s ok! Let’s work together to get you the grade that you want!
My teaching method is using the gcse maths books as my guide topic and I test what you child has learnt and adapt my tutoring around it to focus on their mistakes and learning to change them and offer them help with diffult subjects
I only give lessons to GCSE students, secondary and primary schools. The method I use to teach is by communicating with them to find what's hindering them to not reach their potential. By knowing what's hindering them, I can easily solve the problem and extend their potential.
I tailor my teaching to the requirements of the student, both in terms of knowledge and methodology. I use technology whenever possible to aid the teaching process.
I'm willing to teach maths up to secondary school level and would teach maths to meet the level of the students I teach and the current syllabus.
My teaching method is very easy going, with a very relaxed atmosphere. Making sure you feel at rest so that you can learn in your own pace and comfort.
When teaching, I target areas of concern for students, as well as tackling tough exam questions and learning helpful tricks for the exam.
I enjoy teaching one-to-one and in small groups as it allows me to put greater focus into the individual needs of each learner and through this I usually see rapid progression. I tailor make make my lessons to suit individual needs and I prefer to keeps my lessons as varied, active, fun and interesting as possible. I do this by combining memory games, short activities and practical tasks.
I always aim to digest complex materials and deliver in an understandable yet mind triggering way to allow students best appreciate the subject and strive for more knowledge regarding the topic. I use different learning contents in my lessons to suite students with different learning styles, e.g.
I approach each subject with a child centred approach. A child's holistic development is at the heart of everything I do.
I can help with GCSE study as well as basic numeracy and literacy at either primary and secondary level, or with basic skills for adults returning to study. My approach to teaching is a responsive one. I am very patient, calm and friendly and have experience of working flexibly with students with obstacles to learning.
I personally am a kinesthetic learner, so my usual teaching method is using real life situations or applications, but depending on the learner can adapt per need. e.g. basic maths skills for division, using a group of physical items (i.e a pack of biscuits) to make into divisible piles to show a physical representation of the problem.
My teaching methods make learning simple and fun and I have many successes with students who have severe blocks about maths and a lack of confidence in their ability. I use resources that are interactive and encourage learning and development in small steps.

I base my lessons on the needs of each learner. I believe that a good tutor should adjust their teaching style and methods to suit the individual and inspire that person to achieve their best. My name is Angela and I am married to Jamie Sullivan (a deputy headteacher at a school in Exeter) and have 2 beautiful daughters - Hannah who is 5 and Isabel who is 3. I have been living in Cullompton since we moved back to Devon in 2001 and have been a housewife since the birth of my first daughter in 2004. I am treasurer at our local preschool and a committee member on the school's PTA.
I am an 18 year old A-level student who obtained 7A*'s at GCSE level and isn't currently studying Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at A-level. Sutiable for all GCSE students needing either a boost to help them past or some extra help to achieve that A* they are hoping for.
I have a deep understanding in both maths and physics and so the methodology I use when teaching is by explaining the very foundation of the subject and understanding it fully, you can then build your knowledge from there so that students will even be able to use logic to work out even the hardest of problem solving questions and topics.
My teaching method is based on each individual. Each pupil is different so for this reason my approach and teaching method is created for each individual specifically.
I adapt my teaching method dependent on the learner and which learning styles they prefer. I will create a plan and adapt it for each learner.
Once I fully review a topic I try to work from first principles were possible and by encouraging the right questions, ensuring that the student has an understanding of why the material is true. Past papers and example questions can then be used in learning how to apply that knowledge.
