I am happy to give lessons to individuals of all levels from GCSE through to Undergraduate degree level students. I like to work through the material interactively, and particularly take a focus to the specific areas the student feels uncomfortable with. Typically, I will assign a task after each session for the student to try. This is less of an assessment and more of a challenge task to push the student with the content. I will then walk the student(s) through the task at the beginning of the next session, going over any areas of concern. I also like to focus my teaching on a student's outside interests to make it relatable to them, as I find this helps individuals learn better. The first sessions will focus more on the students individual learning preferences, so I can create a plan tailored specifically to them.
I am happy to tutor groups as well, if there are multiple people who want to be tutored together (perhaps from the same course or school), but equally I am happy to tutor 1-on-1.
I am a Research Officer within the Civil Service. I work within social research and statistical analysis. I have extensive experience within the Psychological research field, statistical analysis, and experimental methodology. I graduated with a Bsc in Psychology from Cardiff University. I have worked both within the UK and abroad in psychological research assessing children's social care, HIV prevalence, the success of anti-bullying schemes, social responses to strenuous situations, and much more. If you are interested in GCSE and A level tutoring, I can provide that as well. I achieved 3 As at A level, as well as 6A*s and 4As at GCSE including triple science, mathematics, ICT, English and Psychology. I also have prior experience working as a teaching assistant in a Secondary School class, so am comfortable tutoring individuals of all abilities from GCSE level through to the University level and beyond.
