About Lesego
Hi! My name is Lesego, and I have had a passion for teaching and helping others understand their schoolwork from a young age. When I was around 15 years old, my younger cousin failed Grade 5 because he struggled to truly understand what was being asked of him, especially due to language barriers in English. That December, I dedicated my entire holiday to teaching him how to read and comprehend questions properly. It was incredibly rewarding to watch his confidence and abilities grow, and today, he is in Grade 10 and has consistently ranked among the top students in his class. Throughout school, I was always the student whom teachers would ask to help explain concepts to others because they recognized my patience and ability to break things down simply. Teaching has always felt natural to me, and it's something I genuinely enjoy. After completing my degree at Stellenbosch University, I returned home and once again took responsibility for helping my younger brother — now in Grade 8 — prepare for his first term exams. With my support and his hard work, he placed in the top 5 across all his classes, achieving an incredible 92% for mathematics. These experiences have shown me the difference a good support system can make in a student's academic journey. I am passionate about helping young learners not only improve their marks but truly understand their subjects in a way that builds long-term confidence. I believe that every child can succeed with the right guidance, and I am excited to share my knowledge, patience, and passion for learning with future students.
