About Alekya
Hi, I’m a STEM tutor with a PhD in Biomedical & Electronic Systems—but more importantly, I’m someone who genuinely enjoys turning “this makes no sense” into “oh, that’s actually simple.”
I got into teaching because I’ve seen how often students are told to memorize instead of understand. My work in medical technology—building sensors that can detect disease, working with ultrasound systems, and exploring how electronics interact with the human body—constantly reminded me that science is not abstract. It’s real, practical, and honestly… pretty fascinating when explained the right way.
In my classes, you’ll notice we don’t just solve problems—we connect them to the real world:
* How does an ultrasound machine actually “see” inside the body?
* Why do batteries drain faster in the cold?
* How do tiny sensors pick up signals from your body?
That curiosity-driven approach is what I bring into every lesson.
I teach students from primary and high school through to university engineering, and I keep things structured, clear, and engaging. Expect simple explanations, practical examples, and a calm, focused environment where questions are always welcome.

I don’t teach like a textbook—I teach so things click.
My approach is all about simplifying complex ideas using real-life examples, visuals, and a bit of hands-on “tinkering” thinking. If you can explain it simply, you’ve truly understood it—that’s the goal in every class.
I blend first-principles thinking with creative analogies and mini problem-solving challenges, often connecting topics to real-world science—like medical sensors, ultrasound, or everyday tech—so learning actually feels useful.
Lessons (60–90 mins) are structured but relaxed: quick recap, clear concept breakdown, practice, and wrap-up—no overwhelm, just steady progress.
I hold a PhD in Biomedical & Electronic Systems and have taught students from primary level to university engineering, including medical and STEM learners globally.
