About Lin
I have over 10 years of experience teaching piano to college students and enjoy helping learners grow with confidence and musical skill. My teaching style is supportive and flexible, allowing lessons to match each student’s learning pace and goals.
I focus on strong fundamentals such as piano technique, sight-reading, rhythm, and music theory. To make lessons more engaging, I use creative methods like improvisation, simple composition tasks, and combining classical training with modern music.
I also help students improve performance confidence and musical expression. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to learn piano.

My piano teaching methodology is creative, student-focused, and supportive. I aim to guide students as a mentor while helping them grow into independent and confident musicians.
Creativity is central to my lessons. Students explore songs they love, try simple improvisation, and participate in creative exercises. This keeps learning engaging, fun, and inspiring.
As a critical thinker, I guide students to understand rhythm, scales, chords, hand coordination, and musical expression. I simplify complex ideas so students can improve effectively and consistently.
Accountability is emphasised through structured practice routines, goal setting, and progress tracking. This helps students develop responsibility, focus, and long-term motivation.
Along with piano, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, keyboard basics, and basic composition to strengthen overall musical skills.
