About Taryn
Hi, my name is Taryn, and I'm a Cal Poly student studying public health and law! I have a passion for helping others build confidence in their academic and creative skills, and I have previously taught writing, sewing, dancing, and baking. I've learned that students thrive when they feel comfortable, supported, and safe making mistakes.
I'm a patient, approachable, dynamic individual ready to meet you where you are. I always tailor lesson plans to the learner and collaborate in making and reaching goals.

My goal is to create a supportive, comforting, and productive space for learners working on essay writing, college applications, resume building, and general cultivation of creativity (especially in young ones). I tailor lesson plans towards both what the learner wants to improve on and what projects they need to complete.
My degree's curriculum has been writing-heavy, and so I have extensive experience with argumentative, informative, creative, legal, and research writing. I can help brainstorm, plan, draft, and proofread essays- bringing my experience and perspective to aid your project's quality and also help build new tools to your writing toolbox.
I have experience in college application essay prep and resume drafting. Helping learners discover their existing power and talents is of utmost priority.
I mainly work with high school students to young professionals for the services above, but also have offerings for young learners. I have experience teaching elementary students the levels to storytelling and inducing their creativity and academics in this way.
