About Qicheng(Ethan)
Hi! Nice to meet you—I'm Ethan! I know subjects like math and science can sometimes feel abstract or even boring, but my goal is to not only help you ace your courses, but also to teach you strategies for solving bigger problems and (hopefully) spark a genuine interest in the material. As an engineering student, I’m trained to break down complex problems into smaller, more manageable parts—this is the same approach I take in tutoring. During our sessions, I aim to guide rather than lecture, helping you take ownership of your learning and develop long-term problem-solving skills. Every session is adjusted to your needs, and I’m always happy to adjust our pace based on your comfort level. If you're in Grade 12 and looking ahead to university, I’m also open to offering advice about programs, applications, or what to expect in your first year—or we can just chat! Let’s make learning efficient, engaging, and even a bit fun.

- Emphasizes building strong foundational understanding by teaching concepts from the ground up, ensuring students learn why a method or formula is used. Equips them with the mindset to approach similar problems independently in the future.
- Create a specialized study template for every individual student and fine-tune my teaching approach to the preferred learning style. i.e. visual learners I will always graph it out, auditory learners I will ensure my explanation is clear and concise to move on to the next point.
