About Zhitao
I am a high school senior with strong experience in advanced mathematics and working with younger students. I earned scores of 5 on AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, and AP Computer Science A and currently study AP Calculus BC. I have taught Mandarin and chess through a community education program, where I gained experience explaining ideas clearly, encouraging students, and adjusting to different learning styles. As a current student, I understand the challenges students face and create a patient, professional environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

My lessons are designed for middle and high school students studying pre-algebra, Algebra I and II, geometry, precalculus, AP Calculus AB, or statistics. I begin by identifying what the student understands and where they are struggling. I then explain the concept step by step, demonstrate example problems, and guide the student through practice until they can solve problems independently. Because I recently completed these courses and earned 5s on both AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, and AP Computer Science A, I understand the common mistakes students make and can explain difficult concepts in clear, student-friendly language.
