About Marijo

I began studying ballet at age 8 and studied through high school. I was in West Side Story, 45 Minutes from Broadway, Brigadoon, Witness for the Prosecution, Nutcracker, Coppelia, and Giselle. I was an alternate PA Governor for the Arts recipient and attended the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School in NYC.

About the lesson

I love dance and enjoy teaching ballet to all levels. I especially enjoy teaching older adults but have also trained college-aged and younger dancers. I can teach virtually or in person. I can also teach classical ballet variations such as Lilac Fairy.

Marijo is a wonderful ballet and barre teacher. She is very kind and patient and helps you work on your form with zero judgment. As an adult learner who is learning at almost 60 years old, this was a surprise to find her so warm and encouraging, as I was nervous as to what the experience would be like as an adult learner. when I read about ballet as an adult student.
