About Namhla
I am very passionate about history and its importance cannot be overstated. This is because the very foundations of human society are based on a certain version of history, this is but one of the reasons why the study of history is key. In addition to learning history itself, the study of history equips students with a number of skills such as research skills, critical analysis, writing and crafting an argument to name a few. These skills transcend the study of history.

The approach that I take to teaching history is to connect the historical information to the social impacts. This ensures that the student does not merely learn dates and facts but is able to understand the context within which those dates and facts and exist and their impacts. This approach is more comprehensive and is directed at giving the student the skills necessary to interact with information in a way that achieves the best results.
