I will begin lessons with a diagnostic to understand the scope of knowledge for all students. From there, together we will create a working plan to tackle the material. This helps students build the skills to study and learn independently. Next, while teaching, I will ensure to have auditory, visual and kinesthetic aspects to the lessons. If students can create connections of topics in those three learning areas, it is proven to be more successful.
The plan will be adjusted from student to student, and between lessons. If a topic is taking longer than anticipated we will readjust as a team.
I want to be approachable to students and ensure that they are successful and will work towards finding a style that works for them as I am very versatile.
