As an undergraduate in Drama at the University of Sussex, I am acting every week and would be able to relay the useful methods of devising work and methods of improving acting that my teachers have taught me. As I am also currently still developing my acting, I feel I could be of great use to students at GCSE and A-Level as I have a firm understanding of the requirements of these levels of study, and could go above and beyond this due to my undergraduate status.
As a Drama undergraduate, I am always acting and being shown new methods and new ways to develop a piece. I would relay this information on to students, as I firmly grasp the concepts I am taught (I received a first in my last practical piece) and have good communicative skills due to the group work aspect of my course. I have not formally taught acting, but I am constantly helping both my classmates and group members, and therefore have great experience in aiding others, and giving positive, yet critical feedback.
There is no variation in price based on the level of the student. I would decide on a variation in prices due to travel based on the distance and cost of this.
I received an A in A-Level Drama, and I am currently averaging a high 2:1 in my degree. I understand the current requirements for Drama students to achieve good marks, and therefore have inside knowledge and can provide useful insight. Though not formally a teacher of Drama, as stated above, the feedback I give in class can easily be transferred to a teaching environment, and be used to develop the ability of students.
