About Mohini
Hello future artists, I’m Mohini Sharma, and I’m not just your art teacher — I’m someone who truly believes that art lives in everyday moments, in people, places, memories, and even in the small corners we often overlook. I’ve been an artist for many years — sketching on buses, painting quiet streets, capturing real life as it unfolds. I don’t just teach from books; I teach from experience, from observation, and from the heart. I’ve worked as a visual artist, held exhibitions, led workshops, and collaborated with creative communities — but what gives me the most joy is sharing this journey with young minds like yours. I believe everyone has an artist inside them, waiting to be heard. Why do I want to share what I’ve learned? Because someone once believed in me, gave me space to express, and let me make mistakes and discover my voice. Now, it’s my turn to pass that gift on — to help you see the world differently, and express yourself in your own beautiful way. In my class, your ideas matter. Your mistakes are part of the magic. And your imagination is your biggest tool. Art is not just about becoming a painter — it’s about learning to observe, feel, and create. And I’m here to help you do just that. Welcome to a space where art is not just taught — it’s experienced.
In my class, you won’t just copy from textbooks or follow rigid rules. We will explore, question, and create. You’ll learn to express what you see, feel, and imagine — because art is about your perspective, not just perfect technique.
Here’s how I teach differently:
• We’ll make real-life your canvas. From the corner of your room to a bustling street, you’ll learn to sketch and paint what you observe — because the world around you is your best teacher.
• Your hands will move before your doubts do. Whether it’s markers on a moving train or watercolor on a sunny afternoon, you’ll practice spontaneity, not just precision.
• No “wrong” art. I focus on building your confidence through creative freedom, not on marks or perfection.
• Every student is an artist. You’ll explore many materials — from brush pens to tie-dye fabric, Lippan art to handmade stickers — and discover your own unique style.
• Art will meet life. We’ll talk about where ideas come from, how to observe people and places, and how to tell your story visually.
If you’ve ever been told “you can’t draw” — I’m here to prove them wrong.
