My tutoring approach fosters a love for literature and writing through interactive, student-focused methods. Teaching Method and Techniques: I use close reading, guided discussions, and creative exercises to deepen comprehension and writing skills, adapting to each student’s pace and interests. For example, I might connect a novel’s themes to a student’s experiences to spark engagement. Typical Lesson Plan: A 45-minute session begins with a short discussion of a prior reading, followed by analyzing a new text or writing technique. Students practice through targeted exercises, like drafting a paragraph, and we end with feedback and a take-home question. What Sets Me Apart: My enthusiasm for storytelling and ability to build rapport help students feel confident expressing ideas. Who My Lessons Are For: I tutor middle school students seeking to improve reading comprehension, essay writing, or creative expression, including those needing support with school assignments or enrichment.
