I ensure I engage students by using an interactive approach. Whilst worksheets are necessary, using other techniques of teaching the lessons means they stay interesting and hopefully the content is absorbed more effectively as the student is interested in the activity. Feedback is also a really important element of my lessons. Ensuring I give my student feedback on their progression, but also asking the student to give their own feedback on the lesson. Things then liked/didn’t like and how they think they are getting on. This can help to individualise lessons to best fit the student.
