I use a subtle voice but clear to communicate I set a familiar topic of which we learned in the previous lesson, or get an understanding of what skills the student has by a speaking activity sharing ideas on a spider diagram and discussing the ideas. Something everyone can talk about in their age group. Once the student has a clear understanding of the topic, I then will set a written task, set times so that the students are able to discuss and listen to each other, gives me time for observing and to make the most of the time I have teaching the student. Making sure that i monitor the student through the whole lesson making notes while the student is proceeding with the task at hand, always preparing for the lesson ahead, highlighting good language use and also not so good use but always make sure the student is comfortable and would not call out to embarrass them this only makes the student less confident I aim to help the student with vocabulary skills, written and speaking always making sure the students understand before moving on to another stage of the task or simply move on in lesson, I will always find a way to make it fun and easy to learn, giving confidence by praise and good communication skills as everyone has different way to help them learn and take in the information needed and that is necessary.
