About Rose

I have been a public speaker since 2009. Have done multiple talks including a TEDx in Cape Town, for EY (Johannesburg) and Columba Leadership Academy. I love the self-confidence that one gets from speaking and how well it builds one's character in general communication.

My teaching method is that I base my lessons on what each individual lacks or what to improve when it comes to speaking, also in understanding different learning disabilities/challenges. I want all my students to break out of the shell whether they are addressing two people or a full hall.

  • How long have you been interested in the field of well-being and when did you start practising?

    Well-being has been a huge part of my life, not just for myself but for those around me. I started practising in high school as a peer-mentor and tutor, it then advanced to me starting and co-founding a youth based organisation which led me to having a TedX talk while in high school. So I could say it's been an interest of mine for over 10years.
  • Tell us what your wellness discipline can bring to people's lives.

    My wellness discipline can challenge people to want better for themselves in a way that brings upon growth and personal awareness. I assist people to become more charismatic in their everyday lives and career and dare to be the best version of themselves they can be.
  • Could you provide some tips that can help us feel good in body and mind?

    My number one tip for a good body and mind is gratitude and appreciation. You only get one body and one mind in this lifetime so love them, feed them well and rest them as often as you can. This will make you value them more and be more knowledgeable when it comes to them.
  • How would you describe your method as a practitioner?

    My method as a practitioner is to first listen to my clients, understand them personally, their drive and long term goals/plans. I then carefully tailor a work plan to work with them to achieve their desires and overcome challenges and obstacles as per their needs. I strive to provide my clients with the best sessions and interactions that they need to improve their lives.
  • Are there things that your discipline has helped you learn about yourself or others?

    My discipline has taught me that there is still much to learn about myself and those around me as I grow. I've recently learned that I need to take things easy and take care of myself first before I can be of service to others. This will help me to be the best version of myself for those that need me.
  • Do you have a role model or a person who has truly inspired you?

    If I had to pick one role model, It would be Princess Diana. She was a woman who knew and understood her power, she challenged so many rules to be the best version of herself and will always be remembered as a Lady, a Wife, a Mother, a Philanthropist and The Princess.
  • How do you relax? Which methods work for you?

    Nothing relaxes me more than soaking in the tub with an uninterrupted cup of tea. Me-time is very important as it gives me time to unwind, reflect and clear my head in a controlled environment while taking care of my body and soothing it. I also enjoy a date night-in with lots of food and movies to unwind.
  • Tell us about your most memorable lesson.

    My most memorable lesson is that your current self isn't necessarily who you'll turn out to be, the person you become is the one your current self is willing to nurture.
