About Brendan
Hello! My name is Brendan Thompson, and I am a certified TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) tutor. The TEFL course taught me a tremendous amount about teaching different age groups and levels. I received fifteen hours of live practicum teaching and hundreds of hours of coursework. In addition to TEFL, I've had over five years of experience working with United States' governors, and have volunteered on presidential campaigns. I have also served as the Vice President of the Model United Nations club for two years. My role in the club was to teach the United Nations’ debate format, history, and process to the college students in the classroom. When I am not teaching, I love to travel, exercise, and read! With my experience, I believe I would be a great fit for any student who is looking to improve their English.

I know English can be a difficult language to learn. I believe in stress free lessons, where the student gets to decide the pace. Students at all levels are welcome. I can have in-depth conversations, or assist in essay writing with more advanced students. However, if you are just starting to learn the language, I can also provide basic grammar lessons. I welcome students from all countries, ages, and backgrounds to join my lesson. I look forward to help achieve your goals!
