About Eliza
In 2021, I graduated from The Mary Erskine School where I achieved straight A's in all of my Nat 5, Higher and Advanced Higher subjects. I was especially strong in Math, English, Biology, Chemistry and History. After, I accepted an offer from St. Andrews University to study Economics. During my first year, I tutored multiple high school students Math, English, Economics at the Nat 5/Higher/Advanced Higher/GCSE/A level. This year, in my third year, I have been studying at Western University in Canada where I am currently employed by their Economics department as a tutor. I help first and second year students with their micro- and macro-economics, finance and math courses. In my free time, I play field hockey and enjoy traveling to new countries.

Within my role as a private tutor, I teach various modules which cover Macroeconomic, Microeconomic, Mathematical and Finance concepts. Primarily, I help students understand their lecture material and core content, complete assignments and prepare for final exams. Last semester, three of my regular students increased their cumulative grade average from below 60% to above 85%. Having achieved straight A's at school, a 1st average at University and with prior experience in tutoring, I have the knowledge and skills to effectively teach complex material. Furthermore, my job as a hockey coach taught me how to adapt my coaching style to suit the individual needs of each player, a skill which allows me to effectively tutor students of different ages, abilities and learning requirements. I can teach students taking Math and Economics at school-level (ex - GCSE/Nat 5/Higher etc) or Undergraduate level.
