About Zoe
Hello! I am a trainee teacher currently studying at Kingston University, working towards getting my QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) so that I can teach within primary schools for a full time career in the future!
I have been working with children for many years now, and am happy to have begun my journey into teaching. As a part of my studies I am required to undergo placement where I have already had the opportunity to teach classes of 30 children in all years of primary school, providing me with experience and knowledge which will be transferable into tutoring sessions.
These placements have also helped me settle into my own teaching style where I believe children’s learning styles are all as individual as their personalities and so lessons should be adapted as such and lead by the children to ensure they are engaged. My focus is as much on improving attainment as it is boosting confidence within your child so they feel prepared for any future lessons or exams they may have in this subject.

I prioritise the individual needs and learning styles of each student, ensuring that my approach is tailored to maximise their understanding and engagement.
Our sessions would be student lead, featuring a mix of discussions, exercises, and hands-on activities to reinforce concepts and encourage critical thinking. These sessions would no more than an hour long as I believe in striking a balance between covering material comprehensively and ensuring that the student remains focused and engaged throughout the session.
I have had many years of experience in childcare alongside my studies to achieve my goal of becoming a teacher, and have spent up to 30 weeks within primary schools teaching children in all years of primary school under the guidance of expert colleagues who have shown me many great approaches to teaching which I would love to transfer into tutoring sessions.
These lessons are suitable for students of all ages and levels within primary school. Whether your child need extra support to gain confidence in a subject or an ambitious learner aiming to excel academically, I will do my best to tailor lessons to meet your needs.
I am happy to tutor in a wide range of subjects, but have a stronger focus on core curriculum areas.
