About Lucy
My name is Lucy and I’m a 24-year-old English teacher from County Laois. I studied History and Political Science at Trinity College Dublin and plan to continue my studies in Lund, Sweden in September 2024.
Over the past two years, I have pursued my passion for teaching English by completing two TEFL courses and spending a year teaching at an English academy in Seoul, South Korea. My time abroad was an invaluable experience, fomenting my love for languages and honing both my teaching and interpersonal skills in a professional environment. I have now returned to Ireland and wish to continue teaching English and to share my enthusiasm for learning as an online tutor.
Aside from teaching English, I love to play the cello, go running, and work as a freelance artist.

I teach English to non-native speakers of all ages and levels, with a particular focus on grammar, phonetics, and literacy.
I hold two TEFL certifications and have one year's experience teaching English at a private academy in South Korea. I also have ample experience in leading art workshops for children.
My lessons range from 40 to 60 minutes long and are easily adaptable to different learning styles. I always prioritise conversation practice and open discussions with my students in each lesson.
My personalised approach to teaching aims to be fun, flexible, and effective!
