About Madeline
I am a recent graduate from San Diego State University. In university I majored in Political Science and minored in History. I have tutored my peers throughout high school and college. In high school I focused on general knowledge and topics while in college I focused on writing, politics, and history.
I have also taught English as a second language to children in Israel and to Afghani refugees in San Diego.

As a tutor, I take a student centered approach to education. If I feed a student information they may feel as though they know more in the moment, but when it comes to taking tests or reciting that information, students forget what they have been told. Having the student explain topics to me, search their books for the answer with my help, and gain confidence ensures that they not only retain information but also grow academically.
