Tutor with Masters degree teaches English and humanities online and in Ottawa

I have worked as Michael's direct manager in his position as a tutor since April 2022, and I absolutely recommend him as an educator. Whether he is leaving feedback on essays or working with students via chat, Michael provides quality instruction that engages students in critical thinking and authentic learning. His thoughtful, intentional approach meets students where they are and effectively uses inquiry to help students develop thinking skills they will be able to use independently moving forward. When a student comes into his classroom, Michael pushes their thinking while providing just the right amount of guidance to help them succeed, all while maintaining an encouraging and warm environment. Michael is an incredibly conscientious and responsible person. He is a good friend, and I attended his Master's thesis defense. I know him to be a very educated and passionate lecturer. He is someone who does his best to help people understand an idea in a way that is intuitive to them. On top of that, he's very engaging and great fun to listen to. He teaches me lots of neat things every day!
