About Omar
Growing up in London, I’ve always been surrounded by different cultures, ideas and forms of visual storytelling. My own work is heavily inspired by manga, comics, animation and fine art, and I enjoy bringing these influences together to create distinctive images that cross traditional boundaries.
Alongside teaching, I have 10 years of professional experience in the creative industry as an illustrator and graphic designer. Having studied, worked and taught within the arts, I know the value a good teacher can have on your confidence and development.
I want to pass on the knowledge and experience I’ve gained, while encouraging students to explore what genuinely excites them. I believe some of the most interesting work comes from experimenting, mixing influences and finding unexpected connections. My aim is to help you develop the confidence and independence to discover your own visual language and create work that feels personal to you.

My lessons are friendly, practical and tailored to your individual interests and creative goals. Through personalised tuition, I’ll help you build confidence, strengthen your technical skills and develop your own creative voice.
Sessions can cover drawing, painting, illustration, printmaking, mixed media, sketchbook development, idea generation and portfolio preparation, with an emphasis on experimentation and refining your personal style.
I support GCSE, A-Level, Foundation and undergraduate students, including those preparing portfolios for art school. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are available in London or online.
