About Mara
I am a Biological Sciences student at UCL. I have received prizes at biology national competitions in the past. I have worked in a molecular biology lab previously, with scientists, and I have experience with lab procedures. I've helped people with their studies by tutoring and explaining complex biology topics for their own level and I've been involved in other educational programs such as European Researchers' Night, where I taught people about ecology subjects.

I am used to having a very structured teaching method because I know that if I don't, I myself wouldn't understand the topic. I first concentrate my teaching on theory and theory based exercises, then practical ones and, at the end, a brief introduction to labs.
I am very patient and I like interacting with people, so I always go for a friendlier approach and I try to make a real connection with my students.
I also manage to engage students in learning by presenting the information in an interactive way, putting emphasis on the practical importance of the subject.

I've known Mara for a few years now and I can certainly say that she's one of the most creative people I've ever met. She is friendly and enthusiastic, so it is really easy to get comfortable and you can concentrate on learning a new language with an amazing tutor. I would recommend her as a teacher any day!
Mara is a wonderful teacher for many reasons. First, I would list her incredible creativity which makes even the most seemingly boring parts turn into some exciting fantasy story. The whole learning process becomes funnier and much easier than studying on your own. She has a real talent for anything related to biology and arts. This is just a win-win combination for getting a better grasp of any of these particular subjects. Or both:) Plus, she is patient, friendly, warm, nonjudgmental so you will definitely feel comfortable during the class.
