About Rahul
I am a Chemistry undergraduate at UCL (3rd year)
I went from an E grade to A* in the space of 5 weeks in A-Level chemistry because I changed my approach from memorising the content to instead understanding it so that I could apply it in exam questions.
I used to be very outcome-oriented, such that I was trying to memorise answers to get full marks. Once I moved away from this and instead focused on basic concepts, I found the course to be very straightforward.

My teaching style is dependent on the needs of the student but in principle, I teach by probing the student with questions to identify weaknesses and gaps in knowledge. This encourages independent problem solving - exactly what is required in an exam.
The lessons are process-oriented, i.e. understanding the theory brick-by-brick which eliminates the need for memorisation and equips the student with the ability to tackle unusual exam questions. This method boosts confidence and allows the student to feel comfortable within the subject.
Lessons are 1-2 hours long. Previously, I've tutored students from a C grade to A grade (they are now studying medicine at University).
