About Linus
I am a law graduate with First Class Honours. I chose to read Law at UCL and move to London when I was 17 and have not looked back since. During my undergraduate degree I have taken particular interest in critical perspectives on the law (CRT, Queer Theory), public international law and environmental law.
I am currently enrolled in an LLM programme with a focus on international human rights law.
As I take particular joy in dissecting legal doctrines and their underlying biases and beliefs, I hope to instill this kind of critical thinking about law in my students too.
I have loved teaching undergraduate students and aim to pursue a career in academia.

Before each lesson I will request of the student to give me more information about the area of law, the syllabus in the subject area and the aspects the student would like to go through.
Using the student's teaching material, I will go through the topic and engage in a dialogue with them about what they think. As critical thinking is a core requirement of legal thinking, this will equip them with a better grasp of the contentious issues in the law, as well as beyond.
I will only run lessons of one hour maximum as any longer lessons would not be helpful.
I have previous experience teaching first-year law students at UCL on the basics of law and general themes, focusing on exploring the law critically.
My lessons are aimed at students that are taking law either at A-Level or undergraduate law students.
What I offer:
I will provide students with strategies on how to write essay plans and take notes for problem questions.
I can provide students with feedback on their essays stylistically, not necessarily content wise.
Provide them with a structure and strategy to enable them to engage with their legal studies effectively.
Expertise in Public International Law, International Human Rights Law and Environmental Law (UK).
What I do not offer:
Substantive knowledge of every area of UK law.
Editing or writing of essays and problem questions - I will provide feedback but will not write for the student as this would not be conducive to their education.
