I give Biology, Chemistry and Spanish lessons to GCSE students and Spanish lessons to A level students. I like to go through past papers with my students and then teach and reinforce any topics that they found challenging. I understand that everyone has different learning styles and I will definitely try to adapt to this. I also like my students to go through questions they found difficult in their own time and come to me with questions.
I am a Biomedicine student studying at UEA, Norwich. At A Level I achieved ABB in Spanish, Biology and Chemistry respectively at A Level and 3 A*'s in these subjects at GCSE. I enjoy teaching others about these subjects which I find very interesting and my aim is to make my students love the subjects too.

volunteering Charity shop volunteer
Here I gained invaluable customer service skills dealing with both difficult and pleasant customers alike. I also gained money handling skills as well as maintaining a record of each sale.
Nursing home volunteer Sept 2015 – May 2016
I volunteered at Summerhill on Saturday afternoons which greatly increased my people skills and confidence and while, at times, it was not the most glamorous of situations, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was here that my interest in healthcare began and I have since shadowed doctors in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast and in the Dominican Republic.
Volunteer in NHS Hospital Sept 2018 – present
Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Norwich
I have recently started volunteering on the stroke ward in the NNUH. Whilst I have only completed a couple of shifts, I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of meeting and getting along with new people.
Focus Group Volunteer Oct 2018 – present
The Matthew Project, Norwich
I am currently involved in a focus group with the smoking cessation charity ‘The Matthew Project’. We are currently designing a social media campaign and video which has greatly improved my team working and IT skills.
Work Stock Control Assistant Oct 2016 – present
As a seasonal worker at Tesco I have learnt how to deal with challenging customers during high pressured situations. I often do overtime on checkouts which has improved my money handling skills. I have also been able to take instructions from those in authority and I have earned their respect by doing my job well.
Education Regent House Grammar School Sept 2010 – June 2017
I studied Spanish, Biology and Chemistry at A level where I achieved ABB respectively. At GCSE I achieved A in English Language and an A* in Maths. My interest in art allowed me to be part of the school’s props team for 4 years which brought my organisational and timing skills to the fore.
University of East Anglia Sept 2017 – present
I am currently studying Biomedicine at UEA and through lab sessions and seminars, I have engaged in team work and have learnt how to deal with both quiet and loud personalities. I am a member of various societies such as BIO Soc, the Alzheimer’s Society and the Christian Union. I have also volunteered as a BIO buddy and as a helper during UK Arrivals Weekend. I feel as though I have integrated into university life well despite being away from home showing that I am adaptable.
I have achieved both my Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh awards which have increased my confidence when working within a team as well as improving my organisational and planning skills. I enjoy learning and playing musical instruments and have achieved Grade 3 in piano. I also taught myself to play the guitar and ukulele which is an enjoyable past time. I believe playing instruments helps my listening skills and I would consider myself a good listener which is important when talking to the public. I am currently undertaking the UEA Award which recognises activities undertaken throughout my time at university.
Perfect! Thoroughly recommend Victoria for helping support students with GCSE Spanish. She came very well prepared to each session, putting in her own time to identify and print out useful resources to use.
Thank you very much Virginia, I really enjoyed my time with Toby and wish him all the best for the next school year!
