About Arda
I’m currently in my senior year in college and would like to establish a skill set before I go into the workforce. I always had a strength in math and helped many friends in high school and college achieve passing grades in their courses through tutoring sessions. I also work part-time at my family’s restaurant with years of experience in customer service, and one of the most important things I learned is to care about your clients to be successful. I guarantee my main priority is to help you succeed and understand what you’re having difficulty with. I like to keep an open mind, so please feel free to help me as well be a better tutor for you and others.

My main approach to teaching is helping people understand how to approach problems on their own. A lesson plan would focus around a topic in one of the subjects I teach (algebra and geometry) and I would create practice problems to go through with you. First I’d ask you what you know so far, and after show you my method of solving the problem. Then we’ll go through another one while I ask you to help me out in a few areas, until you feel confident enough to try one on your own and I’ll give you feedback as you do. I encourage you to ask any questions as they come up and to bring any homework or class work problems you may want to work on; we can always separate some time for that. These lessons are mostly for high school students or people taking beginner level mathematics courses for their associates or undergrad degrees.
