About Sonali

I love teaching maths because it is incredibly rewarding! That ‘Ah-ha!’ moment that people experience once you have explained something is so nice to see. Explaining the logic of maths and watching people apply it to different types of questions makes me so happy, and seeing them succeed in a subject I enjoy makes me happy for them. I believe maths is often made into this boogey man, but if it’s taught well it’s not that daunting. I want people to have fun in maths, I was blessed with good teachers in life, and I want to support others in the way I was as well.

About the lesson

- I received an A* in Maths for IGCSES, and I did the IB for sixth form, where I got a 6/7 in Maths Higher Level - I have been tutoring for 2 years - lessons are for GCSE/IGCSE students, and IB SL Maths students - Lessons range from 1-1.5 hours, with half focusing on what was covered in school or last lesson, and the other half is doing practice questions - Maths is all about practice! I’ll use past papers, identify your weaknesses and find questions that target those weaknesses to make sure you have a strong foundation in all topics. We will practice a ton of questions and exams - usually I will let you do a question before explaining it to see your thought process
