I am a psychology student in last year of studies. I have had some tutoring experiwnce, both privately in the client's home and in a centre leading a group session. I achieved A* grades in both English and maths GCSE so would be an ideal candidate

My approach is to spend the first 5 minutes of the session catching up with the child, then using the next 10 minutes to consolidate learning from the previous session if I think necessary. Usually homework will be given for this purpose but some times a little recap is appreciated. The majority of the session is then spent going over what the child primarily needs help with, using worksheets other resources where necessary. The last 5 minutes is a brief summary before giving homework.
