About Samantha
I bring a strong foundation in both Spanish and English, supported by academic achievement and personal experience. Having grown up in a primarily Spanish-speaking household, I possess a deep understanding of the language, not just conversationally but culturally as well. At the same time, my academic journey has been rooted in rigorous English coursework, earning top marks in my AP English Language, AP English Literature, and AP Spanish. My passion for writing has led me to complete many essays, including the one that secured my admission to UCLA. Writing is not just a skill for me, however, but also a genuine source of enjoyment. I actively engage in creative writing whenever I can, and I look forward to helping others discover the clarity and confidence that can come with strong writing. When it comes to Spanish, I believe that in today's increasingly global world, being bilingual is a powerful asset. I'm proud to help others go beyond just speaking Spanish and to truly understand how to use the language in meaningful ways. With both language and literature, my goal is to support students in building their skills, finding their voice, and excelling academically.

In our first session, I would like to get to know more about you to organize my teaching methods according to how you learn. A typical plan would start with any work you might need help with for school assignments or homework, then, seeing what you are learning and what you are struggling with, I will add additional exercises and give helpful feedback. As a tutor, I try to be adaptable to every student, especially concerning learning techniques and payment, as what works for one person might not work for another. My lessons are for students struggling with English or Spanish at a beginner or intermediate level, especially high school or below students, but college students are welcome to try my lessons as well.
