About Karen
I am a student in the faculty of science at UBC who has achieved high academic standings throughout high school and is continuing to strive in my courses at university. Past experiences in assisting fellow students in high school with academic work, being a mentor in the peer mentorship program, and other volunteering experiences has geared me with the necessary skills to flourish as a tutor. I would be suitable for students that need help with Science or Math, preferably from elementary to Gr. 10. I can also tutor in Mandarin.

I base my classes primarily on what the student struggles with in the curriculum. Students can bring their questions in and I will help them not only solve but thoroughly interpret the solutions so that they will be well prepared for similar or even more challenging questions in the future. If the student so wishes, I will also prepare materials that goes beyond the current curriculum. In addition, I wish to share my experiences that I have gained throughout my past success and failures to help build up and enhance students' own learning abilities for them to thrive in whatever difficulties they may be faced with in the future and achieve positive academic outcomes.
