About Sreya
Hi! I am Sreya, a dedicated and passionate tutor with a rich academic background, well-rounded experience, and a love for helping young people grow and succeed. As a law student at the University of Bristol, I honed my critical and analytical skills. I also developed effective strategies to help my peers and me with challenging concepts and exams.
I am about to embark on an Acting Degree at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama. My involvement in the performing arts enables me to inject joy, enthusiasm, and creativity into my lessons, offering a refreshing perspective to traditional academia. My current Pre-Key Stage 4 students especially enjoy the innovative ways I deliver my teaching! Since we began working together, they have made noticeable improvements in their abilities, addressing the academic challenges that once held them back.
I have always been passionate about working with children, and my experiences teaching and volunteering with young people have enriched my life immensely. Witnessing the students I support grow both academically and personally gives me a deep sense of purpose, and it is one of the reasons I am so excited to help more students succeed in their studies.

I use a student-centred approach, tailoring each session to meet the student's unique learning style. My lessons focus on breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts and reinforcing understanding through hands-on practice, problem-solving, discussions, and regular assessments like mock tests. I emphasize building confidence and critical thinking skills, ensuring students not only master the material but also enjoy the learning process. The approach I use varies depending on the subject, the student's level, learning preferences, and their current stage of understanding. In our first session, I work with the student to identify these factors and create a personalized learning plan.
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, though I offer flexibility depending on the student's needs and goals.
I offer tutoring in the following areas:
Undergraduate Law (ages 18+)
A-Level English Literature and Religious Studies (ages 16–18)
11+ exam preparation (ages 7–11)
Maths, Reading, Writing, and Comprehension (Pre-Key Stage 4)
I hold a 2:1 law degree from the University of Bristol, with three A*s in A-level English Literature, Religious Studies and Theatre Studies, as well as top grades in my GCSEs, including A*s and 9s in Maths, English Literature, Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Religious Studies, and Art.
Currently, I tutor KS1 and KS2 students who previously struggled to meet age-related expectations in maths, writing, and comprehension. Our collaborative efforts have significantly improved their skills, confidence, and academic success. Alongside my personal experience with private school entrance exams and the 11+, I am now training under an experienced tutor to enhance my ability to help other students achieve their goals.
In addition to formal tutoring, I bring over nine years of experience teaching dance to children of various ages. This experience has helped me develop the patience, creativity, and communication skills necessary to help students excel. Furthermore, my volunteer work as a reading and teaching assistant and my year-long involvement with a youth theatre supporting children with additional needs has given me innovative approaches to facilitating learning and growth.
