About Oliver
I am an A-level student who has an animated passion for my subjects (Maths, Economics, Politics and French). Throughout my GCSEs and Alevels, I have been able to develop effective verbal communication skills by tutoring friends and peers on some of my strongest subjects - helping them to succeed in their external and internal examinations.

I believe I have a strong combination of positive characteristics suitable for tutoring. I am charismatic, devoted and educated in my field of study.
It is invaluable to be able to clearly be understood but this skill is useless in tutoring if you cannot invoke enthusiasm from the student. This requires making the subjects that I am passionate about interesting to the student. I have previously done this by using interesting real-life problems non-mathematicians can experience and use. What use is degree-level multivariate calculus if you cannot find a way to make it practical and interesting?
I love my subject of economics and finance and while it may not sound too math-based, I can assure you it utilises topics ranging from basic statistics through to complex number theory.
I want to pass on my love for mathematics during my lessons to my students even if they currently struggle! It is fair to say mathematics is not for everyone but why not try and make it as interesting as possible rather than trying to create creating an psychological intolerance to a subject you have hated since the first day of primary school?
