About Jaclyn
Hello! I'm Jaclyn, a communication educator with more than 14 years of experience teaching at the college level. I hold a Master's degree in Communication from Wayne State University and have completed doctoral coursework in Communication while teaching and mentoring students throughout my career.
I have taught a wide range of communication courses, including Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Business Communication, Organizational Communication, Persuasion, and Intercultural Communication. In addition to teaching, I have served as an Academic Advisor, giving me valuable experience helping students navigate academic challenges, build confidence, and achieve their educational goals.
I believe every student can become a more confident communicator with the right guidance and practice. Whether you're preparing for a presentation, speech, interview, communication course, or simply want to improve your professional communication skills, I provide personalized coaching in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Communication is a skill that can be learned, practiced, and mastered. Whether you're preparing for a speech, an important presentation, an interview, or a communication course, my goal is to help you build both the skills and the confidence to succeed.
With more than 14 years of experience teaching communication at the university level, I tailor every lesson to your individual goals. Rather than relying on lectures alone, I use interactive coaching, practical exercises, and real-world examples so you can immediately apply what you learn. Together, we'll identify your strengths, address areas for improvement, and develop strategies that fit your communication style.
A typical session begins by discussing your objectives and reviewing any assignments, presentations, or upcoming events. We'll then work through targeted activities, whether that's organizing a presentation, improving delivery, reducing speaking anxiety, preparing for an interview, strengthening interpersonal communication, or practicing persuasive speaking. You'll leave each session with specific feedback, actionable strategies, and increased confidence.
