About Esme
I have work experience in secondary schools as a teaching assistant; this involved helping students with their reading comprehension and writing skills one in one and in a group.
I have also volunteered as a tutor for Action Tutoring, a charity which focuses on providing tutoring to pupils of all financial situation; this involved tutoring students in groups of two for an hour a week. The pupils I tutored said they felt much more confidant with English after tutoring.

Hello! I am a third year English literature student who lives in Brighton. After my degree, I wish to become a secondary school English teacher as I have a passion for education!
I believe that each student is different and it is important to tailor teaching methods and activities to suit how the student learns best. When I tutor, I like to start with small activities to brush up on spelling, punctuation and grammar before moving onto larger, more specific areas which the student wishes to improve on.
