About Wafah
I’m an English undergraduate with an interest in both English and STEM, especially astrophysics and space. Outside of my studies, I like to hike and train in sports/martial arts, which has taught me discipline and focus. I also have two younger sisters, so I’m comfortable working with children and teenagers.
I want to teach because my own experience with education completely changed how I see learning. I used to struggle and dislike it because I didn’t fully understand what I was being taught and didn’t always have the support I needed. But when I finally had a teacher take the time to explain things properly, everything changed, I started to enjoy learning, my confidence grew, and I genuinely fell in love with education.
That’s the experience I want every student to have, not just doing well, but actually understanding, enjoying, and feeling confident in what they’re learning.

English, to me, is so much more than essays and writing structures, it’s imagination, creativity, and finding your own voice. There’s no single “right” way to think, and I really want students to feel free and confident in their ideas. I aim to create a calm, supportive space where ideas become clearer and more manageable. My approach is tailored to each individual, focusing on building understanding step by step rather than rushing through content. Whether it’s improving essay structure, exploring texts, or preparing for exams, I’m here to help you feel more comfortable and assured in your abilities.
