About Shawnee
I would love to teach English as I am very passionate about the subject, and currently study writing and editing at university. Ever since I can remember I've loved telling stories and reading, and finding the deeper meaning beneath our favourite texts. I am a great listener, and really pride myself on my organisation and work ethic.
Previously, I have worked in customer service, and that experience led me to realize that I love learning about people and helping them in whatever way I can; so I figured if I could combine my love of English and my passion for helping people, that would be the dream job, which is why I have chosen to tutor!

Typically, my lessons go for about one hour, but can be extended upon request. The aim of these lessons is to support and help students with any areas that they want to focus on.
I don't have a lot of experience tutoring professionally, but I have helped my siblings and fellow students with their studies.
My method of tutoring is to approach every challenge with patience and empathy. I believe that good communication and listening skills are paramount and necessary in order to build a good rapport and gain a thorough understanding of the challenges a student faces and how to navigate them.
