About Shams
I am a detail-oriented tutor who strives for the confidence of my students in their abilities! I have a strong foundation in English, reading, essay writing, proofreading, and much more, through my intensive coursework throughout college. I take pride in my professionalism, maintaining clear communication, and providing proper materials for each student. I like to take a personalized approach, learning exactly what helps each individual person and how they learn. Being a student myself, taking a student- to- student approach will allow me to adapt to each of your needs, goals, and learning styles!
I would say I like to build student confidence through guided practice, clear explanations, and constructive feedback. Through rereading previous work, identifying problems, and practice, I end my lessons with a clear improvement plan!
I am an extremely patient and detail-oriented person, which allows me to explain details simply and in a relatable manner. I ensure that my students understand the material, not memorize it!
