I have good experience with teaching up to GCSEs Level, however with the right material I should also be able to help A Level students too. My approach is to go over all topics of the subject with the student, and check which area need improvement. Then plan a timed session, starting by introducing the basis of the topic, and go through exercises together letting them tackle a few questions on their own, and end the lesson with a fun activity related to the subject, allowing the students to feel positive with what they learnt during the session.
